Hands-On Embroidery Education
Presented by Steven Batts of John Deer’s Adorable Ideas
Join us for two full days of fun filled learning and sewing. You will see step-by-step, how speciality embroidery techniques are done. Learn and complete several deifferent techniques within a team. Thinking about starting your own embroidery business, this is one class you won’t want to miss! Every perswon in the group will take home their completed projects. Learn new techniques, In-the-Hoop, cutwork, Fringe Applique and more!

Judy Kessinger started her career owning and operating a small Retail fabric store in Louisville, Kentucky. She designed costumes for national and international figure skaters.
Five years ago Judy started a new business combining her art of teaching and fitting into the development and production of two patterns-one for Tops and one for Pants. Once you FIT the pattern, an entire wardrobe can be created. Sewing is the easy part but it’s the FITTING that makes garments come alive and compliment the body instead of just covering it!
Her Fit Nice Sew Slim System, new DVDs and CDs gives her the teaching tools to learn new tips and techniques to help you feel and look fantastic. Judy has been blessed to have touched the lives of countless women, teaching them the tricks of looking trim and feeling fantastic by simply fitting themselves properly.

Pants Fitting Workshop
“Take your pants off, Let’s make a pair that fit!”
Take the smiles out of pants - they belong on your face! Learn how to measure yourself and draw a pattern that only fits you. Judy will show you how to make any necessary adjustments to your pattern. Learn all the sewing and fitting tricks to make your pants look perfect! You will feel and look fantastic! This is a 2 hour lecture class. Judy will measure you and draw on a miniature pattern exactly where you will draw on your full size pattern. This will take the guesswork out of making a pattern! There will be a $15.00 kit fee which includes a Full Size Pattern, Miniature Practice Pattern, Sewing Instructions, and Drawcord Elastic for your fitting pair of pants!
Saturday, July 28 Two Hands-On Serger Classes $45.00 each session 9am-1pm OR 2pm-6pm

No class guesswork - Judy will have everything ready for you—all you need is your fabric and a smile. You will be personally measured and receive a pattern drafted just for you. Be ready to sit at your serger and amaze yourself! Not only will you complete your jacket but you will have the opportunity to learn other serge edges. Can you say…let’s make a dozen more? There is a supply list available for this class.
“Sew Girls” Night Out!
Friday Evenings from 6pm - 11pm
Bring a project to sew, to cut out or lay out on our large cutting tables. Bring dinner or bring snacks, heck, you can just bring a magazine and hang out with your sewing girlfriends for the evening! This is old fashioned sew girls night out!

“Diva” Days in the Classroom
What a HUGH success we have had with our new Diva Days of sewing! Treat yourself as we set aside one day a month for sewing, lunch & fun! We will provide the kits (unless otherwise stated in the description of class) to create a special project. You will have lunch, be inspired, educated and motivated to complete a project while sharing the day with sewing friends and enthusiasts! The cost of the day is $45. Check each months schedule of classes for more details and descriptions.
Boomer’s Blankets
Boomer wants to make blankets and pillows for his friends at the Richmond SPCA! Kids, he needs your help! Come spend the morning or afternoon donating your time sewing and we’ll donate the supplies! You must have taken a previous kid camp or sewing class to participate. There will be no instruction on using machines.
