Spend two days with Betty Mitchell and you will be amazed at what you can create with your serger.  You will begin the first day becoming familiar with basic stitches – learning how to produce them and where to use them. After lunch, we will move on to some of the more creative serger techniques.  Covering piping, making lace and stringing beads are just the beginning!  All the while you will be creating a notebook to hold your samples and direction sheets.  Betty intersperses her teaching with samples from her trunk show that will inspire you and jump-start the creativity within. On day two you will combine some of the techniques learned on day one with even more creative techniques as you create four techniques blocks and then piece them together into a pillow top.  The pillow cover is completed with a corded edge and a zipper closure all accomplished on the serger!
