Christmas in July Table Runner and Placemats
Friday, July 6   9am-1pm
Class Fee: $30
Instructor: Bettie Brady
Let’s make a Christmas table runner and placemat to match made out of fabric with an obvious strip. This table runner and placemats are made with a 60 degree ruler and can be completely made on a serger, if you have one or can be made on a regular machine. Your miters and corners will be perfect and you will be surprised how many different ways this ruler can be used and how many different things can be made from mats to runners. Be sure to pick up your supply list from the store.

Elementary School of Embroidery

This school will be for the beginner, you will learn how to download patterns from the computer and other purchased patterns, to create a project every month. Requirements need to be met each month.

We are bringing back some of our most popular sets from previous years that include: Hawaii Vacation, Sleepover Accessories, Winter Fun, Spa, Doctor, In the Kitchen. Students will make as many theme sets for their doll as time allows from pre-cut kits.
Lunch break will be taken between classes from 11:30am-noon if you are staying for a full day

Learn to create each of the elements that make up a landscape scene-trees, flowers, ground cover-let Jeni guide you through cutting, shading, painting and quilting these elements. From landscape to contemporary emphasis! This club meets monthly and will be a combination of demo & hands-on experience for the students!

Come learn how to sew then pick the projects of your choice from classroom patterns. We will shop at Hancock Fabric Store during this class.

12-2:30pm; Sew Creative II (Intermediate and Advanced Levels) Supply Fee: $40
Students will not learn how to sew in this class. They will start directly on the projects of their choice from a variety of classroom patterns. We will shop at Hancock Fabric Store on the first day of class.
Pre-cut quilt kits will be available. Quilt is approx. 60x60 and will be finished using quick turn and tie method. Quilts take all week to finish.

HOOPSISTERS

This new club (embroidering a quilt-in-a-hoop) will meet on Saturdays, once a month, starting in June. Each series will cost $99 and consists of four monthly meetings which will include CD of designs, written instructions, and even better, Linda’s expert teaching tips and techniques.

Reversible Table Runner

Are you running our of space storing table runners for multiple seasons. This table runner is reversible so you can have two seasons in one table runner. The sample has Christmas on one side and Thanksgiving/Fall on the other. It is also a quilt as you go project so when you’re done piecing it, all you need is the binding and you’re done.

“Take your pants off, Let’s make a pair that fit!”
Take the smiles out of pants - they belong on your face!  Learn how to measure yourself and draw a pattern that only fits you.  Judy will show you how to make any necessary adjustments to your pattern.  Learn all the sewing and fitting tricks to make your pants look perfect!  You will feel and look fantastic!  This is a 2 hour lecture class.  Judy will measure you and draw on a miniature pattern exactly where you will draw on your full size pattern.  This will take the guesswork out of making a pattern!  There will be a $15.00 kit fee which includes a Full Size Pattern, Miniature Practice Pattern, Sewing Instructions, and Drawcord Elastic for your fitting pair of pants!

This is a skirt that you can wear as a skirt, a dress, a cover-up or dozen of other ways. It is constructed out of 2 layers of flowing fabric with a long waist band that lets you tie it. You will be provided the pattern and make one skirt but with the pattern you can go home and spend lots of time thinking of different ways to make more. You will also be provided with picture instructions on ways to wear the skirt. This is a really fun skirt to make and oh so easy. Pick up a supply list.

Paper Piece a Square in a Square

It’s fun to do your child or grandchild’s name in soft letters. Each letter is stuffed and soft and about 9” x 6”. Select colorful fabric for front and back as well as embellishment such as rick-rack. These are easy and you might just help a young child to spell his or her name! Mini Art Quilt
(Intermediate/Advanced Students)

Put your creativity to work designing, shopping for supplies and making a “one of a kind” mini art quilt for your wall. We will be shopping at Hancock Fabrics during this class.  Class supply fee: $15   Bring a lunch and drink.

KID’S SUMMER CAMPS 2012

8 Students per camp class
Camp sessions are 2 1/2 hours for 5 days (Monday-Friday)
Camp Fee - $120.00 plus supply fee

The supply fee includes fabric, patterns, notions, sewing machines and sewing kits used in camp.  Each student will receive a Sew Fun T-Shirt and class photo.  Students will work on the project at their own pace.  Lunch break will be taken between camps from 11:30-Noon if you are staying for a full day.
Please read skill level descriptions carefully before signing up for sewing camp:
Beginner Level - These camps are designed for the first time student. We will cover the Introduction to Sewing Course on the first day of class which covers classroom safety tips, how the sewing machine works, how to begin stitching, basic sewing notions and how to start working with patterns.
Intermediate - These camps are for students that have already taken at least one beginner level class. We will start our projects on the first day. Students must be able to sew straight and curved seams with fairly good accuracy. Students should have patience to begin pinning and cutting fabric and be willing to follow patterns with assistance.
Advanced– Students must be able to use their sewing machine with minimal assistance, sew accurate straight and curved seams. Students should have patience to work more independently, be creative, pin and cut fabric, follow patterns with assistance, make items that take longer to complete and spend more time focusing on details.

9am-11:30am 18-inch Doll Theme Sets (Beginner Level)  Supply Fee:  $30.00

We are bringing back some of our most popular sets from previous years that include: Hawaii Vacation, Sleepover Accessories, Winter Fun, Spa, Doctor, In the Kitchen. Students will make as many theme sets for their doll as time allows from pre-cut kits.

12-2:30pm   Sleepover Fun
(Beginner Level)  Supply Fee:  $35.00

Students will make flannel pajama bottoms, tote and a pillowcase or novelty pillow.

Come learn how to sew then pick the projects of your choice from classroom patterns. We will shop at Hancock Fabric Store during this class.

Want to learn more about sewing with a focus on creating clothing?  This class will begin a sewing knowledge notebook of samples. Students will learn about fabric, thread, zippers, presser feet, seam finishes, patterns and more. We’ll also create a skirt with a zipper. This class will shop at Hancock Fabric Store.

Students will not learn how to sew in this class. They will start directly on the projects of their choice from a variety of classroom patterns. We will shop at Hancock Fabric Store on the first day of class.  Pre-cut quilt kits will be available. Quilt is approx. 60x60 and will be finished using quick turn and tie method. Quilts take all week to finish.

PROJECT SEW

“All New Challenges”
Full Day Camp for Advanced Students
August 13-17   9am-3pm 
Cost:$150   Supply Fee: $60
Are you creative? Want to design your own projects? Looking for a sewing challenge?
Students will be given a new sewing challenge each morning.  They will plan their project, shop for supplies and sew their creation by the end of class.  All Projects will be displayed in the store during the camp week.  Students will have access to the Embellishing Supply Trunk, Baby Lock Embroidery Machine, and the Project Sew Pattern Box to help with their creations.  We will shop at Hancock Fabric Store during this class.  Students will bring lunch and a drink each day of class.

    Class registration is on a first come, first serve basis. You will only be notified if a class is cancelled.

    You may register by phone or in the store. Upon paying for your class, ask for your supply list. All classes must be paid in full at least two weeks before class date. Students will receive a full refund for cancellations up to one week before class date—store credit after that and absolutely no refunds within 24 hours of class.

    Classes that are cancelled due to low enrollment will be rescheduled if possible or refunded. Students receive a 15% discount on all purchases for class.
